Weston's Pear Cider is a traditional British cider produced in the centuries-old cider-making tradition of England's West Country, where the climate, heritage apple varieties and accumulated craft knowledge combine to produce ciders of genuine depth and character. Britain has the world's highest per-capita cider consumption and one of its most celebrated cider-making traditions, with producers in Herefordshire, Somerset and Gloucestershire crafting ciders from heritage bittersweet and bittersharp apple varieties that are rarely found elsewhere. Weston's, Thatchers and similar producers represent the best of this tradition — fermenting locally grown apples using time-honoured techniques to produce ciders that range from dry and tannic to medium-sweet and fruit-forward. The nose is complex and appley with bittersweet orchard fruit and subtle farmhouse character, while the palate is well-structured, naturally dry to medium and refreshingly complex. Serve at 8-10 degrees Celsius.
