Pinot Gris in New Zealand produces wines of considerably more body and texture than Italian Pinot Grigio, with a characteristic richness and opulence that makes it especially food-friendly. The wine presents a pale straw colour and an expressive nose of ripe pear, stone fruit, white flowers, lychee, and gentle spice. On the palate it is medium-bodied with a rich, textured mouthfeel, flavours of nashi pear, ripe peach, and floral notes, balanced acidity, and a dry, generous finish.
