Villa Maria Clays Vineyard Pinot is a single-vineyard expression from Villa Maria's premium estate vineyard portfolio, crafted from Pinot Gris grapes grown in selected clay-based vineyard soils that are especially suited to the production of wines with texture, body, and aromatic complexity. Clay soils retain moisture and moderate vine vigour, producing grapes of concentrated flavour and depth. This wine from Villa Maria's Clays Vineyard presents a pale straw colour with a rich, aromatic nose of ripe pear, stone fruit, spice, and floral notes. On the palate it is medium-bodied and textured with the characteristic pithy quality of Pinot Gris grown on clay, delivering generous flavour, good acidity, and a dry, satisfying finish.
