Vidal Estate Sauvignon Blanc is a Hawke's Bay Sauvignon Blanc from this historic New Zealand wine estate — crafted from fruit grown in one of New Zealand's most celebrated wine regions. While Marlborough may be more internationally famous for Sauvignon Blanc, Hawke's Bay on the North Island produces a distinct and equally impressive style: typically fuller-bodied, more tropical, and with richer citrus character than the herbaceous, piercing Marlborough style. Vidal Estate's Sauvignon Blanc draws on Hawke's Bay's warm conditions to produce a wine of generous aromatic intensity and fruit richness. The wine presents a pale straw colour and a vibrant nose of tropical passionfruit, ripe citrus, white peach, and exotic fruit. On the palate it is dry and medium-bodied with bright natural acidity, generous tropical fruit flavours, and a long, vivid, aromatic finish. An excellent alternative to Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc.
