New Zealand Pinot Gris has developed an outstanding reputation for wines of generous stone fruit character, natural acidity, and the characteristic textural richness of the Alsatian style. Vidal Estate's Hawke's Bay Pinot Gris draws on the region's warm conditions for fruit development, producing a wine of considerable richness and aromatic complexity. The wine presents a full straw colour and an aromatic nose of ripe pear, white peach, stone fruit, and gentle spice with subtle floral notes. On the palate it is medium to full-bodied with a characteristic soft, textured mouthfeel, generous stone fruit flavours, and a spiced, satisfying finish.
