Vecchia Romagna Etichetta Nera is an Italian brandy produced in the Emilia-Romagna region of northeast Italy and is consistently among Italy's top-selling brandies. The Etichetta Nera (Black Label) expression is the flagship product of the Vecchia Romagna range. The brandy is produced from Trebbiano Romagnolo grapes, which are double distilled and then aged in a combination of small barriques and larger oak barrels. This two-stage ageing process contributes complexity and a characteristic smooth, rounded profile to the finished spirit. On the nose, tropical fruit aromas including papaya and pineapple blend with vanilla, cinnamon and warm spice. The palate is smooth and well-rounded, with notes of vanilla, cinnamon and a pronounced clove character. The finish is of medium length and warming, with lingering spice. Bottled at 38% ABV in a 700ml format.
