Vasse Felix Cane Cut Semillon is a distinguished late-harvest dessert wine crafted at Margaret River's founding wine estate. Made from Semillon grapes whose canes have been cut prior to harvest — a technique that concentrates sugars and flavours while retaining natural acidity — this wine represents a specialised and celebrated style unique to a handful of Australian producers. The 375ml format is traditional for premium dessert wines. The wine presents a rich golden colour and an intensely aromatic nose of preserved lemon, marmalade, honey, apricot, and orange blossom. On the palate it is sweet and luscious yet perfectly balanced by vibrant natural acidity, with flavours of honey, dried apricot, citrus peel, and vanilla, leading to a long, complex finish. This wine develops beautifully with cellaring.
