Sidre Brut Artisan Cider is a French artisan cider — specifically a Breton or Normandy-style cidre — produced using traditional French cider-making techniques that date back centuries. France's cider regions of Brittany and Normandy produce some of the world's most distinctive and characterful ciders, using heritage bittersweet and bittersharp apple varieties fermented slowly at low temperatures to develop complex, nuanced and lightly alcoholic expressions. French cidre is characterised by its natural effervescence (often achieved through traditional keeving or methode champenoise techniques), its elegant dry to off-dry character and its refined fruit complexity. It is traditionally enjoyed with Breton crepes or soft cheese. The nose is delicate and complex with bittersweet apple, floral and earthy notes, while the palate is refined, gently sparkling and elegantly dry to off-dry with a long, appley finish. Serve at 8-10 degrees in a flute or wine glass.
