Distilled from sugarcane molasses and aged in seasoned oak vats for a minimum of twelve years — significantly longer than the standard expression — The Legend delivers a noticeably deeper complexity and refinement that rewards sipping slowly. Bottled at 42.8% ABV, it retains the approachable, smooth character Old Monk is famous for, while offering an elevated experience for those who want more from every pour.
Tasting Notes
Rich mahogany in the glass with deep copper highlights. The nose is generous and inviting — dark caramel, aged vanilla, toasted oak, and warm molasses, with layers of dried fruit, nutmeg, and baking spice. The palate is exceptionally smooth and full-bodied, delivering dark toffee, chocolate, leather, and ripe stone fruit, with a long, elegant finish of cocoa, oak, and warming spice.
