Houghton Chardonnay Verdelho

Houghton Chardonnay Verdelho is a distinctive white wine blend unique to Houghton's long white wine tradition in Western Australia, combining two complementary varieties: Chardonnay, which provides creamy stone fruit character and weight, with Verdelho, a Portuguese variety that in Western Australia produces wines of vibrant tropical fruit and refreshing acidity. Together, the two varieties produce a white wine of generous flavour, complexity, and approachable character. The wine shows a bright pale straw colour and an expressive nose of tropical fruit, white peach, and citrus with the characteristic passionfruit and melon notes of Verdelho. On the palate it is medium-bodied and fruit-forward with lively acidity, generous tropical and stone fruit flavours, and a clean, refreshing finish.
