Hine XO Cognac is produced by Thomas Hine & Co, founded in 1791 and based in Jarnac on the banks of the Charente River in the Cognac region of France. Hine is one of the oldest Cognac houses and has long held Royal Warrant as supplier of Cognac to the British Royal Household. The Hine XO is a blend of Grande and Petite Champagne eaux-de-vie, aged for a minimum of 10 years in fine-grained Limousin oak casks. The blend reflects Hine's traditional house style, which favours elegance and finesse over power and concentration. On the nose, delicate floral notes, dried fruit, light spice and subtle honey develop with time in the glass. The palate is refined and elegant, with a perfect balance of fruit, oak and spirit character. The finish is long, refined and characteristic of premium Grande Champagne Cognac.
