Hennessy VSOP Privilège Cognac is produced by Maison Hennessy, founded in 1765 by Richard Hennessy in Cognac, France. The VSOP (Very Superior Old Pale) expression was created in 1817 at the request of the future King George IV of England and remains one of the world's most recognised Cognacs. Composed of over 60 eaux-de-vie from the four principal Cognac crus — Grande Champagne, Petite Champagne, Borderies and Fins Bois — aged for a minimum of four years in Limousin oak casks. The blend is assembled by Hennessy's Tasting Committee, led by the seventh generation of the Fillioux family as cellar master. On the nose, the VSOP presents notes of vanilla, dried flowers, autumn spice and subtle toasty oak. The palate is rounded and structured, with fresh oak, cinnamon and candied fruit. The finish is long, smooth and defined by balanced wood and fruit character.
