Harewood Chardonnay is produced from Chardonnay grapes grown in the Denmark sub-region of Western Australia's Great Southern — one of Australia's most maritime and cool wine-growing environments, situated close to the Southern Ocean. Denmark's extreme cool maritime climate yields Chardonnay of restrained intensity, natural elegance, and fine natural acidity that clearly distinguishes it from warmer-climate expressions of the variety. The wine presents a bright straw colour and a cool-climate nose of white peach, nectarine, citrus zest, and subtle vanilla oak. On the palate it is medium-bodied with refreshing natural acidity, elegant stone fruit and citrus flavours, well-integrated oak, and a clean, refined, lingering finish.
