Frangelico is a distinctive Italian liqueur crafted from wild Tonda Gentile hazelnuts grown in the Piedmont region of Italy. The hazelnuts are harvested and toasted before being combined with cocoa, vanilla and other natural flavourings to create a rich, nutty liqueur with notes of roasted hazelnut, chocolate and a hint of vanilla. Frangelico's iconic monk-shaped bottle pays homage to the hermit monk Fra Angelico, believed to have created the original recipe centuries ago. Wonderful served over ice, in coffee, or as the base for a Frangelico Sour or Nutty Irishman cocktail. Its warm, indulgent character makes it equally at home as a digestif or a dessert cocktail ingredient.
