Espolon Reposado Tequila 40% 700ml Bottle

Espolon Reposado Tequila is produced by Destilería San Nicolas in the Los Altos (Highlands) of Jalisco, Mexico. Part of the Campari Group since 2008, Espolon was founded by master distiller Cirilo Oropeza in 1998. The Reposado expression is made from 100% Blue Weber Agave from the Jalisco Highlands. After distillation, the Reposado is aged for a minimum of four months in new American white oak barrels, before being transferred to Hungarian oak barrels for finishing. This two-stage barrel regime contributes a rich, complex vanilla and caramel profile. On the nose, aromas of caramel, vanilla, cooked agave and toasted wood develop. The palate is smooth and full-bodied, with flavours of vanilla, caramel, warm oak spice and ripe agave. The finish is of medium-long length, smooth and warming, defined by the complementary oak character. Bottled at 40% ABV.
