El Jimador Blanco Tequila is produced by Herradura Tequila (Brown-Forman) at the San José del Refugio distillery in Amatitán, Jalisco, Mexico. The El Jimador brand takes its name from 'jimador' — the skilled agricultural workers who harvest agave by hand using a specialized tool called the coa. El Jimador Blanco is produced from 100% Blue Weber Agave that is slow-roasted in brick ovens, fermented with a proprietary yeast strain and double-distilled. The expression is unaged and bottled at 40% ABV to preserve the natural character of the agave. On the nose, fresh agave, citrus, light herbal and pepper notes are characteristic. The palate is clean and well-structured, with crisp agave, citrus and a dry finish. The finish is of medium length, clean and characterised by pure agave. Available in a 700ml format.
