Courvoisier XO Cognac 40% 700ml Bottle

Courvoisier XO Cognac is produced by Courvoisier, one of the major Cognac houses, founded in 1809 and based in Jarnac on the Charente River in France. Courvoisier has long been associated with the highest tier of Cognac production and is known for its distinctive 'The Brandy of Napoleon' heritage. The XO expression represents the prestige tier of the Courvoisier range, blending eaux-de-vie aged for a minimum of 10 years, with many components considerably older. The spirit is sourced from the finest Cognac crus, principally Petite Champagne and Grande Champagne, and aged in French Limousin and Tronçais oak barrels. On the nose, rich and complex aromas of dried fruit, candied orange peel, jasmine and dark spice are prominent, underpinned by vanilla and toasted oak from extended barrel maturation. The palate is full-bodied and velvety, with layers of dried fig, chocolate, warm baking spice and rancio. The finish is of exceptional length, refined and warming. Bottled at 40% ABV in a 700ml format.
