Clendenen Family Vineyards is a California producer based in the Santa Maria Valley of the Central Coast wine region, associated with the acclaimed Au Bon Climat winery. Their Nebbiolo is crafted from this classic Piedmontese variety grown under Californian conditions. The wine presents a deep garnet colour with aromas of red berries, plums and dried roses, reflecting the characteristic floral and earthy complexity of the Nebbiolo grape. On the palate it delivers bright acidity and fine tannin structure typical of the variety, with flavours of cherry, pomegranate and subtle mineral notes. The finish is clean and persistent. Nebbiolo is one of Italy's most distinguished red grape varieties and this wine represents a Californian interpretation of the style.
