Camus Extra is produced by Camus La Grande Marque, one of the largest family-owned Cognac houses. Founded in 1863 and based in the town of Cognac, France, Camus is the fifth-largest Cognac producer in the world and continues to be operated by the Camus family. The Extra expression represents a premium tier within the Camus range, blending eaux-de-vie aged well beyond the legal minimum to achieve exceptional depth and complexity. The spirit is distilled in Charentais copper pot stills and matured in French Limousin or Troncais oak casks. On the nose, aromas of dried fruit, vanilla, wood spice and floral notes are prominent. The palate is rich and complex, with layers of dried apricot, oak, dark spice and long-aged rancio character. The finish is notably persistent, warming and structured.
