Budvar Dark Czech Lager is a Czech lager produced in the rich brewing tradition of Bohemia — the birthplace of the modern pilsner style and home to some of the world's most celebrated and consistently produced lagers. Budvar is brewed in the Czech city of Ceske Budejovice using locally grown Saaz hops, soft Bohemian water and traditional slow-lagering techniques that give Czech lager its characteristic full-bodied, malty and pleasantly bitter character. Unlike many global lager brands, Budvar is not licensed or contract-brewed — it is produced exclusively at a single brewery in the Czech Republic. The nose is malty and gently hoppy with a clean, fresh character, while the palate is full, smooth and balanced with a persistent, dry hop bitterness and a clean, satisfying finish. Serve at 6-8 degrees Celsius in a traditional Czech mug or pilsner glass.
