Blind Corner Orange is an orange wine — a white wine made with extended skin contact during fermentation, a technique that gives the wine its characteristic amber or orange colour, tannins, and textural complexity. Orange wines have a long history in Georgia and parts of Italy, and have experienced a significant revival among natural wine enthusiasts globally. Benjamin Kagi at Blind Corner applies this technique to Margaret River fruit, producing a skin-contact wine of genuine depth, texture, and character. This is not a conventional white wine — expect a deeper amber-gold colour, a complex aromatic nose of stone fruit, dried apricot, honey, walnuts, and tea, along with a textured, tannin-present palate quite unlike conventional white wines. On the palate it is rich and full with dried fruit complexity, grippy tannins, and a long, savoury, complex finish. An excellent food wine, particularly with aged cheeses and rich dishes. Blind Corner is an independent, family-owned winery in the Wilyabrup sub-region of Margaret River — one of Australia's most celebrated wine regions. Founded by Benjamin and Emi Kagi, Blind Corner is committed to minimal-intervention winemaking, organic and biodynamic viticulture, and low-sulphur production. The estate wines express genuine place and vintage character, and Blind Corner has built a devoted following for its honest, terroir-driven approach. Crafted at Blind Corner Wines, 1 Blind Corner Lane, Wilyabrup, Margaret River, Western Australia 6280. Visit www.blindcorner.com.au. Available at Cellarbrations Como. Liquor licence 6030002648.
