Avallen Calvados is produced at Distillerie Coquerel in the La Manche sub-region of Normandy, France. This apple brandy is crafted from a blend of over 40 different apple varieties sourced from more than 300 orchards across the pesticide-free region, reflecting the diversity of the local terroir. The juice is fermented into cider before being double-distilled in traditional copper pot stills and aged for a minimum of two years in French oak barrels. No sugar, caramel or boisé additives are used in production. On the nose, fresh apple, pear and delicate floral notes are prominent, with a subtle underlying oakiness. The palate is crisp and fruit-forward, with baked apple, vanilla and gentle spice. The finish is clean, dry and of medium length. Avallen Calvados is a certified B Corp and is committed to environmental sustainability throughout its supply chain.
