Alkoomi Riesling is crafted from Riesling grapes grown in the Frankland River sub-region of Western Australia's Great Southern — a cool-climate region that consistently produces some of Australia's finest Riesling, celebrated for its intense citrus aromatics, vibrant natural acidity, and remarkable ageing potential. Alkoomi has championed the Riesling variety since the estate's founding in 1971, producing dry, precise Riesling that expresses the unique terroir of the Frankland River. This wine presents a pale straw colour with green tints and a fresh, aromatic nose of lime blossom, lemon zest, green apple, and a characteristic mineral edge. On the palate it is bone-dry and crisp, with focused citrus and apple fruit, lively natural acidity, and a long, clean, mineral finish. Riesling from Frankland River is equally enjoyable young and after extended cellaring.
