Absolut Watermelon is a Swedish flavoured vodka built on Absolut's classic spirit — distilled from winter wheat and pristine water, and produced in the village of Åhus in southern Sweden, the single source of every drop of Absolut. In keeping with Absolut's "One Source, One Community" philosophy, it carries the same purity and smoothness as the original, layered with the bright, natural character of ripe watermelon.
On the nose, expect fresh, pungent watermelon — both flesh and skin — with a subtle lift of cracked black pepper spice. The palate is clean, smooth and notably bone-dry; rather than the sweetened profile the aroma might suggest, Absolut Watermelon delivers juicy ripe watermelon flavour with no added sugar, made exclusively from natural ingredients. The watermelon character builds again through a long, refreshing finish. That dryness and lack of added sugar are exactly what make it so versatile behind the bar — it mixes cleanly without overpowering a drink.
Served with: Build over ice in a highball with soda, tonic or lemonade, finished with a wedge of fresh lime. For something with a little more occasion, make an Absolut Watermelon Spritz — combine the vodka with sparkling wine, a splash of simple syrup, and fresh watermelon and mint over ice. Equally at home in a Watermelon Martini for a sharper, spirit-forward serve.
