1800 Silver Tequila 38% 700ml Bottle

1800 Silver Tequila is produced by Jose Cuervo International at the La Rojeña distillery in Tequila, Jalisco, Mexico. The 1800 brand takes its name from the year tequila is said to have first been aged in oak barrels. The Silver expression is produced from 100% Weber Blue Agave plants that are harvested at 8 to 12 years of maturity, when the natural sugars in the piña are at their peak concentration. The agave is slow-roasted in brick ovens before being double-distilled in a combination of stainless steel column and copper pot stills. The Silver expression is unaged, bottled shortly after distillation to preserve the fresh character of the agave. On the nose, aromas of fresh agave, citrus zest and a subtle hint of black pepper are present. The palate is crisp and clean, with notes of sweet fruit, cooked agave and light spice. The finish is smooth, clean and of medium length.
