1800 Reposado Tequila 38% 700ml Bottle

1800 Reposado Tequila is produced by Jose Cuervo International at the La Rojeña distillery in Tequila, Jalisco, Mexico. The 1800 brand takes its name from the year tequila is believed to have first been aged in oak barrels. The Reposado expression is made from 100% Weber Blue Agave plants harvested at 8 to 12 years of maturity. Following double distillation, the spirit is aged for a minimum of eight to nine months in a combination of French Limousin and American white oak barrels that were previously used for ageing American whiskey and cognac. This maturation process contributes colour, body and complexity to the finished tequila. On the nose, aromas of cooked agave, vanilla, caramel and light toasty oak are present. The palate is smooth and rounded, with flavours of ripe agave, oak-derived caramel and warm spice. The finish is of medium length, smooth and warming. Bottled at 38% ABV.
