The estate-grown approach means the Ragnaud family controls production from vine to bottle, distilling exclusively from their own grapes and ageing the eaux-de-vie in their own cellars. The Cognac is produced from Ugni Blanc grapes grown on chalky-clay soils characteristic of Grande Champagne, double-distilled in Charentais copper pot stills, and aged in French oak casks. On the nose, the Cognac presents delicate floral notes, dried fruit and a refined hint of rancio characteristic of Grande Champagne. The palate is focused and elegant, with fruit, subtle wood spice and long-aged complexity. The finish is of medium to long length, refined and persistent.
