Codigo 1530 Blanco Tequila 40% 750ml Bottle

Codigo 1530 Blanco Tequila is produced at the Destilería Casa Maestri in Jalisco, Mexico, one of only a small number of distilleries authorised to use the Tequila appellation. Codigo 1530 was founded in 2009 and draws on a long tradition of private tequila-making in the region. The brand takes its name from the year the Spanish Crown began issuing the first land grants in the Tequila region. The Blanco expression is produced from 100% fully mature Blue Weber Agave, slow-cooked in traditional brick ovens and double-distilled. The tequila is rested in uncharred French oak wine barrels for approximately 25 days before bottling, which rounds the spirit without imparting significant colour or oak character. No additives are used. On the nose, floral, herbal and clean agave aromas develop alongside a subtle hint of citrus blossom. The palate is refined and smooth, with clean agave, light mineral character and excellent purity. The finish is clean, precise and of medium length. Bottled at 40% ABV.
