To celebrate the distillery’s bicentennial year, Brora will release the 200th Anniversary Brora 1978. It is a 40 year old liquid that tells the story of the golden age at Brora; the age of peat. Just 1819 bottles are available. Master distillers carefully select a handful of the original, nurtured casks to create a unique expression Brora from one of the finest era’s of peated whisky. Drawn from just a dozen refill American Oak hogsheads filled in 1978. The beautifully minimalist packaging is adorned with the Brora emblem of the Scottish Wild Cat – the legendary guardian of the closed Brora distillery and the crest of the distillery’s founder, the Duke of Sutherland.
